Woodmans undertook the complete remodelling and renovation of the Tongdean Road property, transforming it into a contemporary family home
The clients were seeking to find a larger house and after failing to find a suitable property requested the Company to transform their existing home to their exact desires.
Woodman's fully employed team extended and entirely refurbished the property within six months; creating additional bedrooms and reception rooms, adding en-suites, building a large kitchen and dining room – that could open up into one large living space for the family or be separated into two rooms, by bespoke bi-fold doors, for formal entertaining. To complete the extension, a large patio was built, accessed through triple bi-fold glass doors that allow for spectacular views across the landscaped garden.
The Woodman’s bespoke joinery department built the timber framed double glazed windows, oak wardrobes, a large oak desk and a sliding bookcase that separates the living and dining room. This unit can be slide either way to allow free-flow access from one room to another or to close the two rooms into a cosy family area and a contemporary grown-up space.
Woodman's worked closely with the client's interior designer – Rosamund Fellowes Director of Movease, who comments:
